Aspire Campaign - Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention
My role: gRANT PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT; DIGITAL & GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT
Alongside the Robin McGraw Revelation Foundation, I led the development of the iAspire Grant, a nationwide grant program to empower millennial student leaders to continue working on their initiative to address the issue of sexual violence on their campus. The iAspire Grant garnered 150 applications from over 100 universities. Finalists Mitchell Cox and Laura Swanson received a total of $5,000 to continue their work. The story was featured on the Dr. Phil Show and in the Huffington Post.
Film above was produced by the Robin McGraw Foundation highlighting one of the grant recipients, Laura Swanson from Michigan State University. She used her grant to fund the post-production and screening tour for her documentary titled “Every Two Minutes”. The documentary film tells the stories of 17 survivors of sexual assault in their community.
As a continuation of the iAspire Grant initiative, we developed the #iAspire For Her, a nationwide platform for athletes across the US to take a stand against sexual assault by dedicating a game, message, and social media post to a woman in their life that they love. We executed this extension in a three stage process which included an Influencer Kit with specific directions for engaging athletes, a dedicated Landing Page, and Social Engagement campaign.
