Students of the World
My role: Producer, Campaign Strategy, Program Management, curriculum development
Students of the World is a 501c3 non-profit that supports a diverse community of storytellers to use their creativity as a force for good. Filmmakers, designers, photographers, journalists and creators of all kinds join Students of the World to find opportunities to tell stories that have an impact. They connect their community with avenues to tell stories that matter, and to be part of something that will shape their future and our world for the better. We have traveled to over 40 countries telling hundreds of stories, from Environmental Resilience, to Human Justice, to Education and Workforce Development.
My first experience with the organization was leading a team of student producers to Malawi to create work around Clean Drinking Water in partnership with P&G. I then joined the organization full time to expand our reach to universities nationally and create a program where students would partner with local organizations to shine a light on issues in their communities and produce media content about them. I have also designed and developed curriculum and trainings for university professors and students.
At Students of the World, we believe that through our international travel and campaigns, we expand empathy and empower young people to build bridges, uplift voices and create positive change by harnessing the power of storytelling.
